Our Structure

AFANCSS is structured into three main arms of governance, reflecting a balanced and democratic leadership model:

Executive Council

The Executive Council is responsible for the administration and execution of all association activities. It comprises 12 officers, each with distinct roles to ensure smooth operations. These officers include the President, who serves as the leader; the Vice President, who supports the President; the General Secretary, handling official documentation; and the Assistant General Secretary, aiding in secretarial duties. The Treasurer manages finances, while the Financial Secretary oversees financial records. The Public Relations Officer (PRO) handles communications, and the Director of Socials organizes social events. The Director of Sports manages sports-related activities, and the Welfare Director ensures members’ well-being. Additionally, the Librarian oversees academic resources, and the Public Liaison Officer (PLO) serves as a bridge between the association and external stakeholders. Together, they work to uphold the association’s objectives and ensure effective governance.

Parliament – Student Representative Board (S.R.B.)

The Legislative Arm of the association serves as its law-making and oversight body, ensuring accountability and democratic governance. It consists of 18 members, including all Class Representatives (Parts I–IV), with representation distributed as follows: 5 from Part III, 4 from Part II, and 4 from Part I, along with the Public Liaison Officer (PLO) from Part I. This arm is led by key officials: the Speaker, who presides over proceedings; the Deputy Speaker, who assists in maintaining order; the Clerk, responsible for record-keeping; and the Chief Whip, who ensures discipline and cohesion among members.

The Legislative Arm holds the authority to pass resolutions, scrutinize executive actions, approve budgets, and review reports, thereby balancing power within the association. Its structured representation ensures that all academic levels have a voice in decision-making, promoting transparency and collective governance.

Committees and Commissions
  • Judicial and functional arms responsible for discipline, welfare, publications, elections, and more.
  • Appointed by the S.R.B. or the Executive as specified in the constitution.
